Burns Supper at the Skellig: Monday, Jan. 25, 6-8 pm

Post date: Jan 17, 2010 4:58:55 PM

Since the Skellig sing this month falls on the birthday of the birthday of the celebrated Scottish poet Robert Burns, we're planning a Burns Supper at the beginning of the evening, transitioning between 8 or 8:30 into our regular pub sing (doubtless with plenty of Scottish and drinking songs).

This formal dinner will feature the eating of a traditional Scottish meal, the drinking of Scotch whisky, and the recitation of works by, about, and in the spirit of the Bard of Scotland.

While preregistration is not required, the Skellig has asked us for an estimated head count for the Burns Supper. If you think you are planning to join us FOR THE SUPPER, please sign up (the sooner, the better) here:

There is no fixed price; we will order off the Skellig menu, with some

Scottish-themed specials available. Regularly scheduled pub sing to

follow with a theme of Robert Burns songs and poetry.
